Phew.
I guess there are some who think that games like soccer are like watching paint dry. There are often references that all participants wear skirts in this sissified game.
The game has its' share of nastiness and this clip is exemplary of just that.
Like anything else, the officials can put a stop to it by calling such blatant stretching of the rules.
Good clip on the not so subtle occurences of the beautiful game.

Soccer, the beautiful game.....if you are an insomniac and need sleep therapy.
"What a brilliant nil-nil tilly that was! Spot on, indubitably"
Hey, if I wanna watch guys rolling around on grass without prior contact, I'll buy the DVD of the annual, far more thrilling, cheese rolling competition at Cooper's Hill in Gloucestershire...

Damn man, does NO ONE have a sense of humour on here anymore?
Say it with an English accent Whateveritis;
in Canadian-ese it means: "Great 0-0 game there. Fan-frickin-tastic."

So what language is the original intended to be? |

Okay, I'll be blunt. As someone who lived in the UK for 35 years, was a season ticket holder of pro team there, and who speaks with an English accent, I have NEVER ever come across the word 'tilly' anywhere, not in real life, not on TV, not in print. Never heard anyone say 'indubitably' either. Your stereotyping is faulty. |
