Would these divisions look right?? April 15 2011 at 1:57 PMNo score for this post bobbyclarke16 (Login bobbyclarke16 )
Reading the news about Villanova headed to Orangeville got me to thinking....
North: 6 Teams
Newmarket
Stouffville
Markham
Huntsville
Villanova/now Orangeville
Aurora
West: 7 Teams
Burlington
Oakville
G Town
Hamilton
Brampton
Buffalo
Milton
South 7 Teams:
Vaughn
North York
Upper Canada
St Mikes
Toronto Jr Canadians
Missasauga
Pickering
East 6 but hopefully 7 Teams:
Welly
Peterborough
Cobourg
Lindsey
Whitby
Trenton
and hopefully still Kingston
east looks like a good division by the way...
thoughts...

Looks good..and have 4 teams from each division making the playoffs and no more best of threes!

I'm gonna hold off for now in passing judgement until all the dust settles.
But from what I've heard throughout the last 12 months is that Markham absolutely does not want to play in the North. Does anybody know if this rumour is true?

I doubt very seriously that is true. All of the biggest gates Markham gets are from those teams.

if kingston is out then pickering may want to remain in the east.

IMHO, it makes more sense to have Pickering in the South Division. Less travelling, less costs etc.

I did hear a rumour that Lindsay might be in the North, but I have no idea if there is any truth at all to that.

If Kingston stays next year, the 3 strongest teams in the league come from the East DUKES_FAN

So I guess that makes Oakville chopped liver. Seriously Tyler I think the Blades deserve to be mentioned as a top three team.

Personally, I like Pickering in the East. It keeps together their rivalry with the Fury which dates back as far as the old Metro Jr. Hockey League days when the Panthers' biggest rivals were the Oshawa Legionnaires.

in the north would be terrible.
Why disturb the rivalry in place with existing teams?
