Vaughan Vipers' Andrew Martin stopped 37 Seguin Bruins shots for a 2-0 Vaughan victory. Martin who would appear in 44 games for the Vipers in 2005/2006 season recorded 19 wins along with 19 losses and three shutouts.
Peterborough hammered Cobourg 9-5 at home. Joshua Gillam had four for the Stars in this one en route to a 45 goal campaign and would go on to four years at Dartmouth in the ECAC.
The Derbys..remember them?..topped the Junior Sabres 6-2 in Buffalo. Phil Gianfrancesco got two for Streetsville. He would go on to play for four teams with great names- the Florida Seals, Fayetteville FireAntz, South Carolina Stingrays and Reading Royals. Milton would go on to win the West with 87 points, Streetsville were mid-pack with 55 and Buffalo were basement dwellers with just 12.
In the local derby the Red Wings beat the Cougars of Burlington 6-4. Hamilton finished a distant second to the IceHawks in the West. Steve Mullin scored a shorthanded goal for the Red Wings in that game and the following season he would lead the team with 77 points, two ahead of Spencer Abbott. After graduating Junior Steve played four seasons at Brock.
