Friday afternoon it was learned that Lindsay Muskies Head Coach Paul Mattucci has been named an assistant coach for OJHL Team East in the upcoming Central Canada Cup tournament which will take place in Smiths Falls from Dec. 26th through 29th.

He explained the tournament to me.

Each of the four divisions in our league will put together an all-star team. They will be joined by two teams from the Ottawa area, one team from the north, and one team from Quebec.

Although Paul isn't one for the spotlight, he was all smiles when talking about the tournament, and being selected to help the East representatives. He will be working with his opponent from Friday's game, as Trenton's Jerome Dupont will be the teams head coach.

It should be a lot of fun he said. I think it's a great idea.

Congratulations to Paul! He's always been a top notch coach that has got the best out of the players he's got. Though the results aren't always there; his teams are always tough to play against! A very worthy selection!

Congratulations again Paul!
