Was just a simple question Wayjoy. No need to get defensive or anything...Always nice to see a team pile on the goals in the 3rd period...26 shots in the third...I hope it comes back to bite them. Someone will eventually have enough of their crap and one of their top players will regret it.
Maybe you can come up with another witty saying for me Wayjoy; you obviously have a lot of time on your hands; or maybe you should go check up on some facts on some issues in the league that you can talk about. Useless stats on the Kingston team always make for good reading...unfortunately your the only one reading them

I guess it was a bit of an unfair jab at a guy who was being honest but the point I was getting at was Whitby running up the score in a game that was well over.

Hey smoker, the object of the game is to score goals. If your opponent is not competitive, that is not your problem.
Seems to me Wellington never seemed to mind running up the score when the Eagles first joined the A loop. We didn't whine about it, we just learned to play better and eventually kicked your ***.
Today.......Newmarket 9
Burlington 2
Why aren't you whining about this? I mean, have a look at the scores lately. Starting to look like football scores!! Why are you worrying about Whitby so much, afraid you may meet them in the playoffs????

Did the Eagles ever make it to the RBC cash? I haven't followed the league long but I'm pretty sure they haven't got much further than the Southeast Championship...

Why are so many people concerned about lopsided scores? It's junior hockey, not house league.
I never chimed in before about running the clock because far too many people had already commented on that ridiculous situation.
I don't think second shaving should ever be done at any level, let alone the junior level, but over the past 30 years of covering junior hockey I've seen plenty of it. However, it usually involved homer timekeepers in close games, not blowouts.
If both teams agree to running the clock than fine, run the clock, but maybe the do-gooders would like to stop using the score clock after a team gets up by five goals. Jeez, that's pathetic.
Just run the clock fair and square until the final buzzer sounds.
I've seen lots of teams run up the score to pad their individual stats. For the most part the Hockey Gods are not fans of the practice, and as we all know come playoff time offense has a tendency to dry up, and Karma's a bitch! That being said, we're not talking about minor hockey kids here, we're talking about young MEN, and it's my experience they deal with lopsided losses much better than their whiny parents, or do gooder fans.
Suck it up butter cup. It's far better to learn from the experience than whine about it. If you don't want to get blown out, than ice a better team.

It takes a good man to say he is sorry. Thanks for that , SouthernSmoke .
And I still like you Tim Meeks and cash even though we don't always agree on everything.I still consider you both friends, much to your collective chagrin.
