I've been saying it since his departure from Mississauga, Dan would be a perfect fit in Cobourg!

If Cobourg wants to be a real challenger in the East, they need an old vet like Dan behind the bench. He loves to play the free wheeling hockey the Cougars like to play, but, would also instill some defensive strategy. I think his theatrics would play very well in the Cougars Den, and throughout the community. He's entertaining and engaging, and one hell of a tactician.

They certainly would have been better prepared for the playoffs. And I bet attendance would be even better too!

At the very least, he would be a huge upgrade on the situation as it is now.

Questions: Would Cobourg pony up for Dan? And would Dan come to Cobourg?

But, if owner and GM REALLY wanna win something tangible, they should be all over this potential transaction.

My guess is that the GM would feel threatened by such a looming presence! And if that's the case, Cobourg will continue to be just another franchise who can't/won't get it done!

I heard Dan mention that because they're west-end guys, they'd prefer playing west of Yonge.
But whatever team get Dan and/or Lonnie they'll be better off because of it!
Both are 100% hockey guys with no ulterior motives.

You would think with less team's, owner's would not be so hard up to crawl down to the level of a GM such as the Janitor (Lonie)

Since when have Dan and Lonnie been working together? I know for a fact that when Dan coached in Georgetown that Jack Moon was still the General Manager and that Peter Mavroudis was the Director of Player Personnel/"DEVELOPMENT" (now that's a stretch don't you think? happy.gif lol)
