Same two teams same result- Rangers 5 Burlington (without Daniel Volpe for four) 3.

Lindsay starts the year off on the right foot edging the Panthers 3-2.

Sabres look to keep it rolling in 2015 and the edge the IceHawks 4-3 in regulation.

The Golden Hawks will not be denied and the get past the Buzzers 3-1.

Oakville (without Sean Kohler) stop the J.C's in overtime 4-3.

The Rangers scored six times in the second period en route to a 10-1 mauling of Burlington. Austin Brown and Ted Hunt each had a pair and Zach Fung had four assists. Matt Whittaker had a goal and three assists. He and Gabe Valenzuela (who had two points) now each have 61 on the season just two behind the Raiders' Steve Hladin. Gianluca Baggetta stopped 29 for the win.David Thomson scored the Cougar goal.

Danny Liscio had two goals in the second frame and two more in the third in the Golden Hawks 6-2 win over the Buzzers. He now has 24 goals and 50 points on the campaign. Zach de Concilys and Brady Wiffen assisted on each of Liscio's goals. Wiffen now has 60 points, good for fourth in the League's pointscorers, while de Concilys is fifth with 57.

Josh Gabriel got the overtime winner on the powerplay as Buffalo beat Milton 3-2. All of the Junior Sabres' goals came with the extra man. The IceHawks led 2-0 after one.

Nathan Colitto made 34 saves as the Junior Canadiens shutout the Blades 2-0. Two points separate the top four in the South. Justin Maiolino's early goal would stand up. Aaron Spivak missed on a second period penalty shot and Anthony Repaci's empty-netter sealed it.

A nailbiter in Lindsay as the home team won 5-4 in overtime over the Panthers on a goal by Pickering native Michael Spataro.

Golden Hawks 6 Buzzers 2

Liscio (4G), Wiffen (1G, 4A) and de Concilys (4A) helped the Hawks make mincemeat of the Buzzers. Some of the goals were easy tap-ins for Liscio, others were finished by a beautiful shot, all with the tic-tac-toe help of his linemates. Wiffen, who is a real pleasure to watch when he carries the puck, also put the headlock and fist on Matt Pepler after Pepler ran the Hawk goaltender to the end boards early in the third period. Both were only assessed two minutes.

Both teams were sluggish in the early part of the game after the long layoff, but the Hawks took control in the third after the Buzzers dared to score a second goal, albeit a nice one by Bron Loiselle with a nice pass from Jordan.

Ulett didn't even have to be a goon since his team never trailed in the game. Most of the Buzzers were pretty intimidated by the visitors anyway. Ulett even looked good offensively, with a wraparound attempt which eventually resulted in the Hawks’ first goal.

Buzzers, for whatever reason, only had 18 players playing tonight. Joseph Berton was still not in the line-up and 15 year old Toronto Titan Joseph Garreffa appears to have finished his run with the team, for now, despite his six points in five games.
