The Muskies wound up in overtime for the second consecutive night, but on Saturday night they came out on the wrong end of a 2-1 final.
Lindsay held a slight shot advantage in the first and got the only goal of the period when Brock Spear gave Lindsay a lead at 16:46 from Joey Vocino, and Stuart Fierheller.
The second period saw each goalie face 18 shots, but both Boyd DiClemente, and Wyatt Pickrell turned away everything that came at them.
In the third period the hometown Flyers were able to burst the shutout and draw even when James McLaughlin scored at 11:01 from Colin Rigney, and Darren Nesbitt.
While the Lindsay power play went 0 for 6 the Orangeville power play came up big when it counted most, at 4:46 of the first overtime. Derek Topatigh got the winning goal with the assists going to McLaughlin, a Ryan Anton.
The fact that the game went to overtime though meant that Lindsay picked up 3 out of a possible 4 points on the weekend though which is huge for them at this point of the year.
The Muskies are back in action at home on Tuesday night when they host the Aurora Tigers at 7:30 pm.
