Good catch, Matilda and Boffo - if I may quote myself from the other thread: "... the politics of Clinton and Obama trying to outflank eack other on the race issue is intriguing as well as amusing especially the trading places aspect of it."

..It was pandering pure and simple. And so transparent. She's sinking amongst her constituants and hasn't learned how to swim.
What's interesting is her failure to get any traction among the upper midwest states like Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota. She polls behind Obama in states that she needs. This is a serious problem for her because these states tend to have a lot of moderates that can be swayed with the right candidate. I think she's too liberal and voters realize this too. Not that Obama isn't a liberal either, but he's easier to listen to than Hillary.

Obamarama . . .
Dateline: The Exaggeration Line -- In the midst of his visit to Selma, Ala., Sunday, presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama claimed his Kenyan father and his Kansan mother fell in love because of the historic events at Selma.
• • The buckshot: Credit the New York Times with calling Obama's fluff by setting the record straight. Obama was born in 1961, four years before the Selma mayhem occurred. Obama later clarified his remarks, stating: "I meant the whole civil rights movement [brought his parents together]."
Hillary did spend 17 years of her life in Arkansas
She must have also watched the Beverly Hillbillies and read Li'l Abner faithfully to think that she was sounding Southern.
It was one thing six years ago when whe was getting ready to run in New York to use a New Yorkism "Fuggedaboutit."
That was a single word (as pronounced) and didn't try to mimic a whole dialect area. This attempt was an extended excursion by someone who was never popular in Arkansas, who didn't fit in, who doesn't share their idiom and religious frame of reference trying to pass. It was truly insulting. If a conservative had tried this, I would let them off so easily.
