Problems

Hey there, browsing around the net for different things that could be wrong and think I got an idea on what but need to know of what to do. for the last 3 or 4 years I've been noticing problems with my foreskin. Though I think it's been like this for most of my life just not noticing it as a problem. When I retract it even when flaccid it's tight. Now its not tight at the tip of the foreskin but down a bit. Basically when flaccid or erect there is a inward bow of tighter flesh about a quarter of an inch down my foreskin that constricts me. When flaccid it's find but when erect it's very painful, making for very tough times when having sex with my girlfriend and my shaft just goes soft in the middle cause of pins of pain from the tightness around it. And if I get fully hard the foreskin can become trapped behind the head until I soften. In addition I'm thinking my frenulum may also be a little short, as it also is tugging at the same time whenever I try and pull my foreskin back.
I think I have noticed most of my problems, just trying to figure out ways to treat this.

Same as the others

While it may seem to you that your situation is unique, in reality, everyone who comes here has the same challenge ahead. You must loosen the tight spot. My advice is to read back over several threads to get the idea. Since you can retract already, getting two fingers inside should be no challenge. Apply the tension exactly where it is tight. If the frenulum is short, work on that too, just as shown in previous threads.

The "way" is straightforward.

You might care to come back and mention your age.

As Jim points out, you have identified two concerns that we address in virtually every case described on this discussion board. There really are not many things that can commonly "go wrong" with the penis and these are the main two; a tight foreskin opening and a short frænulum. As we have so frequently explained the nature of the stretching exercises to adequately rectify these problems, there is no reason to repeat them yet again.

What I will comment upon, is the observation that the tight band is "about a quarter of an inch down my foreskin". This is describing the "acroposthion"; the part of the foreskin that extends beyond the tip of the glans. The length of this section may be minimal or considerable - perhaps up to an inch or more (nothing is strictly "abnormal" in this regard), and generally varies according to the degree of erection (or flaccidity). In other words, if the penis is flaccid and substantially retracted within the foreskin, then the foreskin (which is of course, continuous with the shaft skin) will have naturally moved effectively forward in front of the glans (but really because the penis itself has pulled back into the foreskin).

As the penis expands in early erection (and partly simply due to warmth), this acroposthion is progressively "taken up" into the shaft skin until the point at which there is no longer any "overhang" and generally only then does the skin move away from the glans (which last part may require a deliberate manipulation). The foreskin "rolls" back (and forth) rather than sliding, which is why the glans remains so sensitive. Generally the tightest part is that immediately over the tip of the glans as this is the part that experiences the least movement with the natural retraction of the foreskin with erections (such as occur for a significant part of every night during sleep). So whilst the foreskin generally will "spring" closed for a reasonable length, forming the "acroposthion", the tightest part will generally - but not always - be immediately facing the tip of the glans.

"Trapping" of the foreskin behind the head during full erection is quite expected, and as long as retraction was readily possible when flaccid, then this is readily reversible on "losing" the erection. It need not be a cause for alarm, and stretching of the opening will correct it nicely.

No problem and thanks for the explanation. I have started some exercises though I'm not able to fit two fingers within the foreskin. The tightness basically does constrict the glans when rolled over it when flaccid, so when it's erect that causes a decent amount of pain. I'll keep doing those exercises I've seen so far. I'm 24 right now as to the question about my age. I try to fit a finger in to try and use it as a base to allow more stretching but not sure I'm getting to where the tightness actually is.
I am very glad I found this site and other info around the net, never thought this was such a known problem and has helped me at least to feel better about it. Hope the exercises work, been way too long feeling pain.

Do keep us informed on your progress.

Well, if you follow the instructions, particularly those where I point out the need to have your foreskin pulled forward away from the glans to allow the space to get the finger tips inside, I would suspect you should be able to discern the location of the tight part and also get two little finger tips in, as I figure two little finger tips should be somewhat smaller than your erect shaft. Alternatively if your thumb is a tight fit, then getting that in should be useful.

And - never forget the frænulum stretch as part of the process.

Just wondering - if your foreskin is tight as described, would you not simply have intercourse with your foreskin forward - the same situation as you no doubt would have used to masturbate and presumably be why you have not really "noticed" this before?
