Right now, if I were you, I'd be treating for yeast. Most often, balanitis is really an overpopulation of yeast, and it normally comes from using soap or being exposed by sex.
Have you been using soap to keep the inside clean? If so, quit doing that. Use only clear water on the inside.
What about unprotected sex? If you've done that, your partner might have infected you.
A third method of contraction comes from using certain antibiotics which kill the essential bacteria which live inside the foreskin. If you have some yogurt, apply a small amount inside and leave it a few hours. Use the plain variety with live cultures.
In any case, get some Lotrimin and apply it to all of the inside parts as well as the outside near the opening. Drink lots of water and stay away from sweets. |
