I venture to say that if you searched back far enough here, you would find the answer, but I have to admit, it would be pretty far back. A few months back
at least, but it does get asked every so often
So yes, as I so often say, whether or not you feel that way, you are
as "normal" as everyone else. The frænulum always
starts from immediately below the meatus - because it is the result of the process by which the urethra is actually formed, by an early embryological plane of tissue folding around
and fusing together. And you can see
this line of fusion, called the perineal raphé, continuing as a ridge down the underside of the penis and (more markedly) down the middle of the scrotum and (gets trickier to see) along to the anus. Women also have that last part.
Various defects in this closure are noted as medical problems, called "hypospadias", but a wide variety of variations of a complete
frænulum are perfectly normal and functional, from a frænulum extending right up to the meatus as you observe, to no visible frænulum at all (but a complete meatus).
So if it is too tight
, you most certainly should start the stretching right now
. And do come back and tell us how your overall stretching proceeds. At the age of 14, it should work very well indeed.
