Okay, I am not 100% sure if what I have is actually phimosis, or if I am not simply not done with puberty as I read something somewhere that says the foreskin is usually able to be retractable all the way by the end of puberty. That being said, I will now describe my problem. I am 17 years old, if that is important at all.
I have been reading some threads here as well. I noticed that quite a few people have said that when flaccid they can fully retract their foreskin. I can not do this.
It is somewhat difficult to describe, but I can not see any part of the head of my penis at all, there is only enough space for me to urinate/ejaculate which I do not have any problem doing.
I know I am probably not adding some important details, so if I missed anything please inform me of it.
As the song of many years ago says, start at the very beginning, a very good place to start!
Can you do this:
If so, do it often throughout the day. Set aside two sessions of about ten minutes each when you concentrate on stretching. Do not create pain, just some mild discomfort. Hold the stretch as long as you can, and then re-do until your time is up.
Inserting a well lubed device should get you some progress to the point where you can do those things in the pictures.
Bic made some ball point pens with removable caps which might be altered to work. Just be careful about rough edges which could irritate. Check frequently until you know the limits of time.

Also, forgot to say in last message, at some times it is able to go back farther then at other times.
The little muscle at the opening will react to changes in temperature. Try taking a nice warm bath and then attempt manipulation while your penis is still quite warm.

I apologize for the triple post, but I have come across another site that has led me to beleive I have FULL PHIMOSIS, or as the site calls it "pinhole phimosis"
But, here is a direct quote from that page "If you have a loose phimotic ring, which seems undetectable when flaccid, try this: insert two clean little fingers, (or even one finger and a q.tip) in the end of the foreskin and pull (gently) sidewards, you will feel very clearly most of the skin is elastic except for a thin ring, so thin that you feel if it was wire it would cut you, this is the phimotic ring."
I tried that, and I think I did feel SOMETHING, I suspect it is the phimotic ring.
Don't get to fixated on what to call whatever your condtion is. The man who runs that website wishes to scare you with terminology that will inspire you through various steps to the operating theater where your foreskin would be removed. Don't let him mislead you.
There is a little muscle at the opening, and that is tight. With manipulation, it will eventually grow and allow retraction. This takes some time. The Beauge method has been very successful, but I believe they do that very quickly, and that could be quite painful. What we teach here shouldn't cause you pain, but you will need lots of patience. The huge benefit is that you preserve your foreskin and all the delicate nerves which impart sexual pleasure.
If you can get two fingers inside, that's actually very good. Take a look at this:
Can you do that? That's the basic exercise, and if you were to follow the directions on that page, you get fantastic results. Nothing is needed but your fingers and some time.
The "male-initiation" site certainly is impressive. Unfortunately, and not surprisingly, it is the site to which people are directed by the circumcision enthusiasts who effectively control Wikipedia because as Jim mentions, the net effect of it so readily suits their agenda of grooming people for eventual circumcision.
The problem is that many things it suggests are correct or in fact almost correct. The problem is that much of it is not quite correct, and following misleading suggestions (such as expecting substantial improvement in two weeks when employing ineffective approaches) will frequently lead to disappointment with the process of stretching and cause fellows to conclude that surgery is "the only resort".
It is not surprising therefore that you are confused and unsure.
As a result, we have to suggest that (at least until you have resolved your situation and know better) you completely avoid that site and its flood of apparent "information" which serves only to confuse, and focus on what we offer here, by reading well back through the discussion threads. It is unfortunate that we do not at present have such an impressive web site but the simple fact is that I for one, do not have as much time to devote to it (have a very demanding profession, have to run it as a business and have a family) as Robin Stuart apparently has (or apparently, had up to 2008) and have tended to devote my time preferentially to helping people here.
So in your case, just forget the "diagnosis" bit - you have a tight foreskin and just as likely a short frænulum. You need to stretch each, and the two general exercises that we describe here are specific for these problems. To stretch your frænulum, which does not seem the most immediate problem but which will take longer to achieve, you need to do what is illustrated in the second picture above.
It's not a matter of you "cannot really do either of those things", you clearly can and you just do it - you grip the underneath part of the end of your foreskin and pull on it - just how often, how hard and how long is the subject of frequent descriptions on this discussion board, so you just read back, and back, over many discussion threads until you have read the description many times and get a "feel" for what is involved.
Similarly, you suggest you can feel the tight "ring" by getting a couple of fingers inside. Well, if you can do that, you have the second exercise mastered, because that's what it is - you feel the tight ring, you stretch it outward - that's the exercise, and again, how long, how hard and how often has been described before.
And that's it. Just start working on it - right now. Keep working on it until it does what you want to - however long that takes. But keep reading here, and not that other seditious site, for motivation and understanding. Things are nowhere near as bad as you may have thought.
