From "pinhole" Phimosis to retraction (and how I did it)

I just felt I had to come back here and post my... success story I guess, hopefully to help others just starting out along their journey.
I posted here around the end of February, having never been able to retract my foreskin at all or even see any part of the glans - and now a mere 1 and a half months later full retraction is fine both flaccid or erect and what's more I didn't even buy any apparatus.
I'd like to thank the guys here for knowing their stuff (they really do!), so guys, keep up the good work, for people like me it really is nice to know there is help out there!
Of course, for those wanting to know how to get there and what it takes, here is a more in-depth "guide":
I started out following the pictures that are so often posted on here, to begin with that was simply pulling the foreskin foreward and outward by gripping on the outside (due to the opening being too small), after a couple of weeks I could just about get 2 fingers on the inside and then carried on stretching from inside the foreskin. I did this not all that often really, sometimes I'd miss a day or 2, but whenever I did stretch, I made it a fairly good session lasting at least 20 minutes, sometimes even a couple of hours.
It only took a month to be able to stay retracted while flaccid and also roughly while erect - albeit with some pain and now after a couple more weeks full retraction even after an erection is fine. Sensitivity was somewhat of an issue for cleaning to start with (when I first achieved flaccid retraction it was pretty messy in there) but some persistence is the way. The entire glans area is still sensitive for me but I found that what has been working to reduce it is simply going to sleep with the foreskin retracted while wearing briefs. or generally just keep touching it with your fingers when cleaning, also showering while retracted is useful once you can fathom it. That's really about all I have done.
I still have a bit of a way to go in that the foreskin is still rather tight and rubs up against the corona when retracted while erect, but it doesn't cause any discomfort now.
Other effects I have noticed and tips:
While doing the first stage of stretching (holding from the outside) be gentle in your grip, to avoid causing any bruising.
Urinating while not retracted now is very messy and urininating while retracted is like a firehose, I now have to stand what seems like miles from the pan!
All the extra maintenance needed now with the cleaning of the glans and behind the corona etc!
Circumcision really is a stupid idea and nobody should even consider it regardless of how severe their phimosis is unless after these procedures properly they really don't help.
Lastly: Don't worry!
I hope this has been of some help to some people. In some ways I wish I could have posted pictures of a before and after scenario but at the same time I still want a bit of dignity left even after being so open on here.
Again, a big thanks to the guys on here for being so sincere about the situation.
The short period of time in which you did this is amazing. However, you were very dedicated, and I think that's the main ingredient to success.
Be sure you do not use soap to clean the inside parts. Just a rinse with clear water is sufficient, and as you already know, doing nothing brings no consequences.
What part of the world do you call home?

Indeed I would say that dedication is key and I would agree I have been fairly "lucky" I suppose finding no infections or problems and acheiving retraction relatively quickly.
On the subject of my frenulum, I don't believe it is tight so I hadn't given it much notice, that is to say it doesn't stick out and honestly I am unsure how far back I am supposed to be able to pull the foreskin, pictures on the internet do vary greatly (I even see quite a lot of freskins which go no further back than mine already goes normally). I can pull the foreskin back quite a lot further than the corona while flaccid and also a fair bit while erect too, although it moves back up to the corona. The only "problem" I can really see with the frenulum is that it is actually connected to my corona for about 0.5 mm or so on the right side compared to not at all on the left [from my own perspective], but that doesn't seem to be a problem in itself. I shall incorporate the procedure you show on here for lengthening the frenulum in to my practises although I do now feel I can slow down and take everything at a much more relaxed pace. Quite frankly it's a relief and I am very glad I went through it all now, although I'd be embarressed to say how much time I spent thinking about or researching penises over the last 2 months, it has been a rewarding and very informative path though and hey, I suppose it is good knowing ones own anatomy well.
As for the cleaning, yep, never done anything other than either delicate removal via finger or just leaving it dangling in the shower, it would still be too sensitive to do much else, but of course, I had no intentions of changing anyway since it is clean already.
Finally, to answer where I am from Jim; I live in the UK, currently a Uni student.
It would seem that either you did not find a short frænulum, or it has not concerned you - which would not be surprising; it's only really a concern if you demand that the foreskin pull back "all the way" or if it is relatively delicate and tension on it is a concern. Neither of these is a "given" - they concern some fellows, but by no means all.
Your reference to "rubbing up against the corona when retracted while erect" possibly indicates some need for frænulum stretching, though this is also simply due to the sulcus (behind the corona) being the narrowest part of the shaft.
Going to sleep with the foreskin retracted could be considered a bit daring if it is tight due to the obvious risk of "paraphimosis". Of course, as always with paraphimosis, simply being alert - that is, not intoxicated - is generally protective as you will realise if it is uncomfortably tight and take the necessary effort to restore the foreskin forward again.
I think we may conclude from your effectiveness, that your foreskin whilst tight, was in fact pretty supple - others may be much less so, possibly have some degree of chronic inflammation and take considerably longer to correct.
I would be pretty sure that you had read enough here to know not to use soap in cleaning, even if "it was pretty messy in there" and as Jim says, that "mess" clearly has caused no problems at all for however many years.
You have discovered what many or most boys discover in childhood - a tight foreskin focusses the urine stream quite well while there is a transition as it becomes retractile, to urinating retracted as a matter of course.
