Partial frenulum tear

Hi all

I have read this forum and the recommendation of stretching and wanted to thank you for your help. I have always had a short frenulum that made sometimes a bit painful to retract the skin but that does not happen anymore. Anywhat the truth is that I have not been really persistent in the exercises.

Some months ago I suffered a partial tear of the frenulum and had to withdraw sex for a week. That has happened several times since then. When using a condom nothing like this ever happen.

You can see in the picture that there seems to be something similar to a scar following the frenulum up to the opening. Is it something to worry about? Do you recommend me to continue with the stretching?

Thanks a lot

By all means, stretch

In fact, you should be stretching the frenulum to prevent any scarring or to loosen up any which has already occurred. How is the frenulum acting during sex now?

Last tear was less than a week ago, so it still happens sometimes. I can notice it is tight during sex even though I have no problem retracting the foreskin

I think it's a good idea to treat for yeast for a week or two. Get some yeast control medicine over the counter at any pharmacy. Apply twice a day.

Secondly, beging stretching the frenulum by doing this:

Matter of curiosity - why would you be having sex without a condom?

The picture is nowhere near clear enough to see a scar - all I see is a frænulum. The frænulum ends - as it should - within the inverted "V" of the corona; whatever is between that and the meatus is simply the fusion line where it closed over well before your birth. There are two interesting paler "studs" below the frænulum which may be parts which tore off or just long-standing inclusion cysts which are common in the midline.

It's a bit short, but well within the normal range. Given your story, you certainly would benefit from persistent careful stretching. I do confess that an alternative would be to have a competent GP (not a "specialist") tie off the frænulum - a bloodless alternative to tearing or cutting it - though of course you would still need to stretch it as it heals. This is the important point - if it tears, you have the opportunity to stretch it as it heals so that you actually make best use of the tear. No matter what happens, you need to stretch it to ensure comfort in the long run.

I do have to reiterate however that if you are having intercourse without a condom - presumably you consider you are now in a permanent relationship and wish to have children - you must have some problem with sexual technique insofar as your dear lady is not sufficiently enthused about the matter as to become and continue to be "wet" - lubricated - whilst you do so, and without that lubrication you are experiencing such severe "drag" as to injure your foreskin. An obvious "cheat" would be to use a "personal lubricant".

The studs have appeared after the first time the frenulum teared a bit. They just look paler in the picture because of the light, but the color is not different.
I thought I needed to let it heal but I will continue stretching.

Yes, I'm in a permanent relationship but without intention of having kids. She's on the pill if she is not lying :-P
Not fair to insult my sexual prowess after your help :-P There is always lot of things to learn but I'm 30 years old now. The problem is that this girl likes harder and faster sex than usual. Recently we stopped using condoms and then it's when the problem started

I will try to upload pictures tomorrow about that fusion line you comment

Thanks you all for your help

Not infrequently, we have to provoke people ...

To extract an adequate answer; winkle out all the details, and to shake out the notion that they just want to be told that they had it right all along and it was someone else's fault. happy.gif

OK, so the little "studs" are presumably the root of the original frænulum, before it tore. Yes, that's the point, you always need to be stretching, just a little more gently if it has recently torn (or have had it cut or tied).

The problem with the "pill" includes the potential both of lying and forgetting. For anyone (female) who really does not wish to become pregnant, I always advise the Implanon® implant which has an additional point of verifiability; once shown, you can check it for yourself.

If that sort of sex is expected, I dare say you will simply have to get used to the pain or use lots of extra lubricant. Your choice; you will have to figure it out. wink.gif

Well, I cannot deny that tactic worked!
Thank you for your help and I will be more constant in the stretching. During some time it will be better to use condoms.

By the way, I didn't know about that implant. Will have a look into it.
