I can pull the foreskin to the tip of the meatus when flacid or erect so I guess I have both phimosis and frenulum breve.
I have started both the exercises per your post. My question is the time required for stretching -twice a day for 10 minutes possibly. Is that continous 10 minutes or 30-60 sconds and a few seconds break? I get this stingy burn in the frenulum for the next 48 hours if I keep it stretched for a few mintues at a stretch.
The second question is the frenulum stretching exercise you suggested better than pulling the foreskin back and holding it? I am not very clear about which is suggested as more effective.
Both Paul and I believe that continuous stretching has better potential than intermittent stretching. However, keeping a grip is often a problem. Perhaps the stingy is also related. For the frenulum, do it as you find more comfortable.
As for method of frenulum stretching, the pulling out method illustrated is probably more effective. Be sure you feel the tension on the frenulum itself.
I first i have to thank you guys for such helpful explanations. I was not even aware that i have to stretch the foreskin and that is normal. Only when i got into problem, i checked thru google and now bit relieved.
I'm bit too old to be doing this exercise (30+)! I just happened to try and stretch the foreskin few days back, stupidly i did bit forcefully. It was very tight and also very painful. Once the skin came over head, i stopped and was bit scared that may be i did something wrong and did permanent damage. It was painful as well as extremely sensitive to touch. I tried to slowly pull back the foreskin to cover the glans . But it wont come and sensitivity made it difficult. I somehow tried to pull as much possible and the result was that the head was still 1/3 uncovered . I have to leave at that. But it was very discomforting because of sensitivity and could not even walk properly without wincing. That day i could not even sleep properly. I thought this is going to be permanent and i have to learn to live with my mistake. Also, the erection started getting very painful. So, i checked the web and found some useful tips. Bought betamethosome cream over the counter but still only tried it next day. By then sensitivity also bit bearable. Without much faith i tried to pull back the skin over head again ( which was very easy this time) and tried to apply the cream and roll the skin back to tip. It did not still cover the tip. But after few hours i felt that there was no discomfort, when i checked the skin had loosen again covering tip completely as before!
So, i thought may be my problems are solved. Not so unfortunately. When i tried the stretch again, skin was still tight like before and have to put some patient effort to retract over head. Its been 2 days hence and still the progress can be termed very slow but less painful now. I dont know how long its going to take to permanently loosen up. My questions is: How far is the recommended that i need to stretch. I had stopped once the skin crosses the head. That time there was wrinkle of skin just under head also discomforting. Also, i try to lower the sensitivity as advised. But question is , should this have to be done forever? So, if i dont try this, after many years, will the sensitivity go back to what it was initially??
Thanks a bunch.
There is something important you need to understand.

What we describe here is a very specific and carefully designed method of stretching with a view to being the most effective way to achieve what you wish. But it is not the same as methods described elsewhere, even Geoff B's otherwise excellent advice which you may have come across previously.
Now, it is presently impractical to describe the method in comprehensive detail, in reply to every enquiry here, so we must advise you to read previous discussions her\e from the index page, not just one or two but dozens of discussions, preferably a hundred or so. Take your time to do so, but in the process, you will gain understanding of many things which are involved with the process of stretching and with sexual function in general. It is worth the effort and your time involved to do so.
If then you are stretching as we describe and perceive you are having difficulties, then by all means come back here and we can discuss them.
Another question- I guess as long as one continues with the stretching, the problem of some degree of soreness will continue ? I guess, even done sensibly, soreness is inevitable? Or at some point of time it settles down and one can continue with the stretching without soreness?
Thanks
