rhett is such a trooper - i'm not surprised that you are home early! and so glad for you and your kids (and dh, too, of course!)
sorry rhett's in some pain; would sensory stuff distract him or bug him? could he stick his hands in a tray or small tub of shaving cream? how about pouring rice/beans or water? even a cloth bag of different textures - silky, rough, bumpy, velvet...finger paint? or pudding paint if he's allowed anything by mouth...just for a distraction... how about music with headphones? bubbles - maybe a bubble blowing machine...easy to turn on flashlight...hopefully these days will pass quickly and he will be back to himself in no time!
