but I will answer your question here as well.
I have a 7 year old girl (without down syndrome) and a 5 year old boy with Down syndrome (pregnant with my third, and probably final, i think. LOL) Anyways, while pregnant with my second I didn't feel anything different, and you'll read ALOT of information that makes childern with Ds seem like there is alot they can't do. I was suprised when my boy came out, breast perfectly the first time (unlike what the books say) smiled, babbled, lifted his head etc. He didn't have heart problems, he moved just as much as my first child, only he just fluttered alot, smy daughter kicked alot more, but I really don't think that had ANYTHING to do with DS. When Will was born, he was such a content baby, feed for 1 hour slept for 4 hours, that was his routine. And he hardly ever cried and was SOOOO happy!!!! At first I was shocked to find out he had DS, everyone is, I had all kinds of emotions mostly bad at first, but that's because it was very unknown. Now I feel lucky to have him, yes there are challenges, but there are challenges with any child, and I have grown alot from having him. My daughter loves him to death, in fact when she found out I was pregnant again she said she wanted another Will.

Which, well I am having a boy, and I do not know for sure if he has DS or not, it really doesn't matter.
