In case you didn't know I can view peoples IP ad's. I could even display them but it would be wrong to do that to the people who have already posted. What I did is create yet another forum where IP ad's are displayed. If you prefer to know who is imitating who then make your post here:

Is it illegal to show people's IP addresses? I don't think its anything to worry about.

As far as I know it is illegal to display or reveal ip no's. Not much point anyway if somebody runs a fire wall the numbers will never even be similar

We have some kind of firewall at work. My IP is always the same when I post from there.

This site obviously doesn't think it is illegal to show IPs. How can I check for myself?

Ah who gives a rats about and IP address (what a load of crock), unless of course you work for a gov department, then that's different, especially for those who should be working (on other things they are paid for).

Actually some wouldn't really won't you to know where/who they work. Obviously some might find it a little embarrassing! But if they have NOTHING to hide then what's the big deal about IP's.

So what's all this crap about IP's, it's total garbage, it really is.

I think this is in response to claims on other sites that it is illegal to show people's IP's. No idea why people were saying that. Threats of legal action tend to get people worried so it is good to clear this up.
