Lets see where this one goes. My bet is its another blatant lie, but they'll get plenty of mileage out of it and when the truth comes out it'll just disappear without explanation.

That lot are sooooooooooooooooo gullible. It's like they want to believe any rumour that comes their way. Even the ones who realise its probably a lie still want to believe it. They're like 'this is probably wrong, but it just proves how all the power hungry overzealous wannabes really are out to get us.'

This one made it onto ABC news:

Don Robinson from Salty's fishing shop says the news is good, but there is nowhere for recreational anglers to fish, with 80 per cent of the reef accessible to Bundaberg now closed.

Where did he get this 80% number from?

Wasn't Kevin saying that 80% of the reef accessibe to the Whitsundays is closed?

Gary Fooks reckons its 70% of the whole reef. I think today is make-up-a-number day on ausfish.

Nope Kevin was claiming it was 90% around where he lives. Just shows how creative you can be with the numbers if no-one is questioning what you say

"I am about to be excluded from just over 90% of all areas within a 20 nautical radius of my home port. Kind of brings home the message that the ex chairman of AMPTO sprouted when he said he would like fishing banned in 90% of the park."

yep there is it goes off the bottom of the page without any kind of explanation. But next time someone rattles off a list of injustices perpetrated by the government it will no doubt be included
