WHAT is a fish? Federal Parliament was to tackle the tricky issue.

The Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Legislation Amendment (Export Control and Quarantine) Bill 2006 was to define a fish as "an aquatic vertebrate or an aquatic invertebrate but not a mammal or a bird".

In other words, prawns and barramundi yes, whales and dolphins no.

Obviously this entailed a 3 year study costing the tax payer $3 million. Speaking of government studies the University Of California received a US$1 mil grant to study the effects of marijuana on males aged 18-25. three years of research determined that "it gets you stoned".

So you read the paper they published on it?

Which explains your limited understanding of the usefulness of the research. Given the drive to legalise pot I think more of this research needs to be done.
