Breed Ban in Ontario.....we could be next

After getting this terrible news today, I felt compelled to write a few words about it.
I believe the only way we can hopefully stop this from happening in British Columbia, is to organize pro-bulldog rally's ahead of the storm. We need to see if clubs can organize together to create a mass mail-out of information regarding this breed. We need co-operative fundraising to organize atleast two highly publicized events this year.
It is nothing short of genocide of the canine variety. It is a crime that this is even happening. We need help, NOW. Any ideas regarding this important matter, please don't keep them to yourself. We need the cooperation of every owner, and every owner of breeds of like variety to come forward.
Our club will be getting together with other clubs and organizations to come up with a strategy to tackle this topic.
It will affect us terribly out here. It will start like a flame and turn into a full out forest fire stretching clear across Canada.
These bans mean our Registered Point Shows will be against the law.
Sincerely,
Tammy Wood
Club President

Will the Ontario Breed ban prevoke a dominoe effect???

"I would anticipate that other states and provinces across North America will pursue it when they see that, in fact, in Ontario it got safer with this bill," Attorney General Michael Bryant said of the legislation, which was passed by the provincial legislature. "Mark my words, Ontario will be safer."
.......safer?

Ontario's New Democrats, who voted against the legislation, echoed that sentiment Tuesday.
"Experts agree, the pit bull ban won't make Ontario safer," said NDP member of provincial parliament Peter Kormos. "Getting tough on irresponsible dog owners and holding them accountable for vicious dog attacks will provide tough, effective and enforceable protection against dog attacks."

Even though the New Democrats voted againts, vancouvers own pitty hater, Tim Stevenson is NDP!

The breed ban here for Vancouver city limits was not successful, thank goodness, at the hearing there were more supporters of our breed than not.

However, Tim Stevenson, the one pushing for the vancouver ban, fully comparable & ignorant as Michael Byrant, is running for MLA, a voice in Victoria, in the up-coming elections and everyone can count on him pushing for a PROVINCE WIDE ban next, mark my words.

The 2 clubs up here are going to start preparing for the worst.

Support, ideas , would be appreciated.
