attached is the reply letter we've made to send to all the people listed on the second document (contacts), the notes are just for me to recall who is who
I've looked into a few others, but this seems the best deal to me.
If I could get maybe 6 or 8 people to throw in $40-50 each, that would cover it and if a few people could manage 100$ each we could have this stuff going out for us by next week! I have one 50$ commitment already.
I'm going to try and amass my own list of reporter's emails and some free (not so good) services as well in the meantime (see attached).
this will be a great opportunity to get the ball rolling for not much money. We'll get some coverage just through publishing on my site and sending to my list but you can see on the massmedia site the sort of coverage we can get with it.
I'd be happy to send some copies of the press release receipts to anyone donating so you can see your money in action. I can do a lot of this myself, but at some point we're going to need to have a broader group help with some money to really step it up against the dogfighting. As a first step we can gain some momentum with this and get others to help stand up against the unfair media stereotyping against us and out dogs. Once the media has an outlet to receive some balanced commentary I think some will take it, especially if we defy their stereotyping and sound like educated individuals (group eventually). It can only help to stem the tide of the war the dogfighting and are waging against us and the dogs, it certainly can't hurt.
