Response to Is TTC easier when one already has other children?

having had a baby before gives you is knowing that everything works (or at least did once) and so the chances of things working again are pretty good. With first time TTC'ers things are 'unproven' but I don't think this means that first time TTC'ers are necessarily at a disadvantage. Let's face it, at one time or another all those on the PG board were also first time TTC!! I think you will find fewer first time TTCers in their 40's simply because in the general population many women have a baby prior to their 40's. So, one would expect to find more women in their 40's having baby #2 plus rather than baby #1. I don't think the proportion of women with more than 1 child on the PG Board means that it was easier for them to get pregnant. I know I had had 4 children prior to SPencer and it was certainly not easy for me to get pregnant! Alternatively, there have been women TTC #1 who got pregnant much sooner than me!!!

Hopefully you will be one of those!!!
