Doctors don't like to get patients' hopes up unless they are pretty certain of success because they are afraid they will get sued . . . but it sounds like they went out of their way to be negative. I can never understand that kind of thing considering they will still get paid whether or not one is successful, so what's it to them if you want to keep trying? (Actually, in that case, they are probably worried about their stats for success.)
