We went to a family camp in near Algonquin Park ONtario and it was great! Lots of activities to sign up for if you wanted and age appropriate things for the kids. So they could do their own thing, I could do mine and we did some things together. In true camp spirit all meals were eaten as a community which meant cabins were assigned setting and sweeping duties. However... NO COOKING so I had a break too! I took a Kayaking lesson, went canoeing, sailing, hiking, did some archery and generally had a great time. The fact that all the kids want to go back again next year is a bonus. Apparently, when we were up there the national radio station (CBC) did a special on the camp and they have had tons of calls about booking spots for next year. Glad WE get preference ! In case you are wondering... the camp is Camp Wanakita .. you can google it if you want the details.
