this cycle I conceived...A FULL MOON. It's true. Don't you remember there was something about that not long ago on this board? O'ing around full moons?
Well, I think there might be something to it!

I also forgot to mention, I was taking one baby asprin, folic acid, prenatal vitamins (the best kind, Elite, at least that's what my Dr. said) and after I O'd, progesterone in pill form in peanut oil.

Just thought every little thing might make a difference.

Baby dust to all and lot's of prayers.
(told you I'd be around!)

Kathy - Congradulations! and some questions

June 8 2005, 9:27 AM

It was wonderful seeing your great news!!!

Did you take the baby aspirin due to thin uterine lining or some other reason? Did you take the aspirin throughout your cycle or just post-O?

Did you take the progesterone due to being tested low progesterone at 7dpo, or a LPD, or for some other reason?

Thanks!!

Barbara

Hi, Barbara!

June 8 2005, 12:41 PM

Thanks for your kind words.
I took the baby asprin each day, the whole cycle through. I took it because I had read, I think on this board or the pg board that it would be helpful. I also so a whole show on Oprah about it's benefits for ones heart.
I asked my Dr. about it, and he said, sure, it could help, we all should be taking it, men and women alike.

The progesterone I took after I O'd because I also read to take it after O, I asked my Dr. about that, too, and he said sure, it certainly won't hurt you. The reason I had it on hand to begin with was because he had perscribed it for my last pg (that ended in m/c, sadly, it was a chromosomal dissorder).
So, I'll be taking it now until I'm probably 12 wks.

I hope I've answered all your questions, and please feel free to ask anything else that may be on your mind.
That's what's so great about this board, we're here for each other.

God bless.

KATHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You scamp!! I leave the board for a while to get my head together and look what you go and do you pregnant lady! I am SO excited for you. You were so wonderful to me during my recent go round and I just think this is SO wonderful!!!! What are your betas doing??? You know, you are yet another example ...I don't think I remember one successful IVF on this board yet. If I had working tubes I would be doing exactly what you are doing.

Now, I have a history on this board of having a failed cycle at the exact same time another lady has a BFP. So, if it's ok, I'm going to take partial credit for this

(BTW - I noticed that full moon too and, even though I was doing IVF, I remember thinking -- that's gotta help!).

Congrats Kathy! Let me know how it goes!!

Susan

Hey, Susan, I'm so glad.....

June 8 2005, 12:31 PM

you're around. I was wondering what happened to you! I thought maybe you needed a break and would make contact when you could.
Alright, alright....you get PARTIAL credit
Well, I actually haven't got any beta's yet. My Dr.is away on vacation, so I was just going in on FrI. when he gets back, and have them taken then. Now, I wish I could have them done already. But everything seems to be going OK so far. I did have a tiny bit of spotting on Mon. (the evening and night of my BFP, go figure!)
But it was only then, and now it's all gone. I looked back at my previous pg's and noticed I spotted around the same time with them. Within a day or two, at least. I told myself if I spotted today, I'd go in and see whoever was on call, but so far, so good.
Please keep in touch. I miss you. You and your dreams are in my prayers.
Love and hugs to you.
