Pat or anyone else with info...

I went off the fertilaid a few days ago and started on the progesterone cream, as that is all I have to supplement the progesterone should this be an anovulatory cycle. My question is, does this type of cream have side affects? Because since about yesterday mid-day I noticed my breasts are getting more tender, I have had bouts of nausea, and I noticed I was feeling a little warm and tired so checked my temp and it was 99.7 (vaginally) yesterday and this morning, it's 100.1. I've done some temping in the past but gave it up as I go to the bathroom so much at night, but my normal vag temps before O were generally a degree or more lower than this.

What hasn't changed is I continue to have random uterine 'cramping'/discomfort, but none as strong as it was those few days a week ago. I also go through bouts of feeling bloated, like I've eaten an entire cow myself. Yet my quantity of eating has not changed, though sometimes I feel REALLY hungry and other times food doesn't interest me at all.

What do you think? I know you'll probably say 'test' but I only have one test left and I want to save it as long as I can, I've heard some women don't show positive tests on HPT until they are two weeks or more late. I just thought maybe someone could tell me if the progesterone cream can cause the elevated temps and nausea.

Thanks and baby dust to you all!

Progesterone can cause both of those side effects however, (m)

it does not raise your temp above normal .... so maybe you have a bug or something? Also, it does not cause nausea so.... if you are late... hmmm. What brand of HPT do you have and what CD are you on?

Hi Pat,

I used a Fact Plus HPT, which measures 40iu? And this is CD 34, of a normal 24-26 day cycle. I originally tested on CD 30, late at night.

I'm so embarrassed! I'm going to retest on Saturday morning, I'll be on CD 36. Because I only have one test left and would need to order more, Saturday will be here before more tests, and I'm wanting to wait just in case I might be one of 'the ones' that HPT's don't register with for a few weeks after a missed period. I've already spent too much over the last year and a half on HPT's and OPK's. I probably shouldn't bother you and others with questions if I'm not going to test again until Saturday. Sorry.
