I wanted to share with you the fact that I had exactly the same experience with I became pregnant with Spencer. I thought for sure that AF was just around the corner because it felt Exactly like pre-AF cramping. I had had 4 pregnancies before and had never experienced this particular symptom so you can imagine how 'freaked' I was... especially after have m/c!! So... yes, this IS a normal symptom and my doctor explained it was the uterus changing size. Hey there... I wanted to send my congratulations on your BFP. I was totally thrilled to read your news!
Work has been so busy. I'm still spotting-I'm having a beta thrown in with all the other blood work I'm having done tomorrow, but I'm so worried. It's not a good sign, I should have listened to the doctor who performed the D&C and waited for one cycle to complete. But no, we didn't listen (we're middle aged and we still don't listen). I don't want to get my hopes up. I think it's very early, like maybe 12dpo, and you know as well as I do, that anything can happen. But at least I have this board, which let me tell you, has been a comfort to me. Poor DH, he only has me.
Pat-do you think that spotting may have something to do with the D&C and then on top of it, being pregnant? It's not red blood, more a brown mucous (I dislike being so descriptive). It's been there off and on since the bleeding ended from the D&C, not heavy though and for a week, there was nothing. And now, I have some, but it will go away for a couple of hours.

in early pregnancy. Yes, one of those things is a pending m/c but there are other things too such as implantation bleeding, placental bleed (I had that!), cervix irritation, burst blood vessels (the tiny cappilaries which expand during early pregnancy) and so forth. If it is brown then that is usually good news as it is old blood not new. Trust me, this has NOTHING to do with the D&C !!! If this is a good viable pregnancy then it will progress and if it is not then it won't regardless of when you had the D&C. I hope you get some reassurance from your appointment tomorrow!
Hopefully for good! It's the same discharge I've experienced all month long, with the exception of one week (probably the week I O'd). Geraldine mentioned she also had the same thing, and I think her D&C was the week before mine. My cervix is up high, just like the last time. I'm taking it day by day.
