Ummmm ,,,, Thier Own ??? The 3646 Cali Radiomir ,, it was thier OWN , a Panerai and the First Cali Rad Watch
okok.. so they did theirs in a more "accurate" 47mm,
Because it was a Tribute to the History and Heritage of thier own watch ,, the Original ,, and as it is a homage (if u will) ,, why not make it in the correct size 47mm
and IMHO, i think the whole proportion of the RWC is much better than the Panny's version. but that's just me...
I can RESPECT that ma brudda , I dig the 1938A for EXACTLY what it Represents , imho Panerai are the
ONLY ones who can make a Homage (if u will) of the Original 1938 Cali Dial Rad , to draw a comparision between any other is just not cricket
Now just to be CLEAR , I
LOVE the 1938 retro Watch , but I just would not compare it with the Panerai , for me it is a watch in it's OWN rights , No Comparisions Needed

Protect that imho (only) , This watch represents so MUCH More than just a Watch , as does anything in it's Form
