Response to I'm actually getting mine later on today... |
| Unfortunately, I had to return it. I ordered the Nav-B automatic, and I have to say it is quite a beautiful watch with a lot of wrist presence. The problem was the dial was ever so slightly off-center, more towards the left. I thought this was rather strange and contacted Elsa at Debaufre (who was very very nice) and was told that it was not a defect and that for the Nav-B automatic (both black and orange-dialed versions), the dial maker intentionally did this so that when you cock your wrist to look at the watch at an angle it appears centered. It actually does this illusion, but looking at the watch straight-on, it looked rather odd to me. Actually, Elsa thought it rather odd as well. Although I am returning the watch, I still intend to purchase a pilot watch from them in the future. I especially like the dial of the Nav-B automatic which is a little different from the classic Limited Ed.'s dial. I got the impression from Elsa that they are going to look into this and told them that when they get a batch with a more conventional dial that I plan to purchase one from them.
Cheers,
Andy
PS. I just want to reitterate that their customer service was excellent and their watches are one of the best bangs-for-the-buck out there.
