This took over 4 years to get all the parts together... as you know, gen Pam components are not easy to come by.

Here is my super stealthy PAM 196...

Case, crystal, dial, and movement were purchased completely damage, with only the case salvageable with some work...

Case was reworked and TiAlN coating was applied at a local tool shop.
Hands are from a 188, the chrono hand was painted black with a dob of lume on the tip.
Dial was finally found after years of searching...
The goal was to make a pile of nothing into a stealthy and original piece.

That's a Vachetta Naturale from Dirk with a PVD buckle... The natural strap goes really nice with the watch IMO...

The first pic is what it looks like now, the second pic is when the strap was new.

Oh, didn't mean to say it didn't look good. It does look real good. I guess when most companies call something stealth they go with a black band as well. But I guess it makes more sense to go really stealth with a brown band. Most of us don't have black arms...lol.

Wow, that looks great! And your post is so coincidental, just last night I looked at my 196 and wondered what it would look like PVD'ed... and now I know! Don't worry, yours will still be a unique piece. But i can't say I'm not tempted!

BTW, great attention to detail, swapping out the black hands... and great job on getting the tachy markings on the bezel to show up. A top-notch job overall.
