Well, I felt you next to me in the meeting.......by motherbear (Login baseballnana)
I gained .4 this week. But, I will work harder this week and keep going to those meetings no matter what.
Yes, I know what you mean about playing games with ourselves.
It is like we don't want to allow ourselves to be successful. Like we don't deserve it. Is that how you often feel? I do. I am way harder on myself than anyone else would ever be.
I find it hard to take the same advise I would give to someone else who is struggling. I need to stop doing that.
You and I are worthy of taking good care of ourselves. Just as worthy as all of those we spend our lives taking care of.
We need to give ourselves non-food rewards when we have even the tiniest of successes. And I don't mean the successes have to be losing weight at a meeting.
It can be a day that you just felt better about yourself. Reward that feeling.
It can be a day you motivated yourself to do some activity even when you really didn't want to. Reward that.
We need to start having better, more positive self talk. I am really bad about beating myself up a lot. I know you do it , too, because I hear you saying things about yourself that I say to myself all the time.
Let's stop ourselves and replace our negative self talk with positive self talk that rewards our success with making ourselves feel better.
We will keep picking each other up, Hollie.
I'm thinking of you and cheering you on.
I would have been overjoyed with a .2# loss.
Celebrate that. It isn't JUST .2. It is a LOSS of POINT TWO!!!! YAYYYYYYY!!!!!!.
Way to go, girlfriend, Judy
