Ok this will be the Oficial Mod thread guys. Please post your Ideas and creations here.

I recently wrapped a heavy wieght lead wire around the outer side of the actuall barrel. It is hidden away from sight and adds a good weight for balance.

shorter trigger pull. Not verry much shorter but it did help. I changed the spring inside of the clip to a really light spring. Not to light for the magazine will rotate on its own. Than I changed the trigger spring to a heavier spring. This made the trigger pull less because the hammer came in contact with the trigger faster.

The trigger modifications are really hard to do on this gun. The trigger does 3 things at once. Pull the roation lever on the clip, keep the trigger sear in place, and pulls the hammer back.

What else have you guys tried?

Teflon

Tip:

Use Slick 50 Engine treatment or similar product containing teflon for metal parts which make contact with each other. Also lessens friction between metal and plastic parts.

I use Super Lube, it has teflon in it and it's safe on plastics.

I myself have installed a combo flsh hider/bayonet lug from a friend's mini-14 onto a 1077. seems fairly useless? Nope! With a bit of dremel tool work, the lug could easily mount one of the cheap (yet sturdy) service bipods which clamp onto an SKS or AKM bayonet lug, thus giving more accuracy than a barrel clamp bipod and less hassle and expense than rigging QD mounts for a harris style bipod. A reticle illuminator for the 4X scope has served itself well, and the attatchment of a mini maglight (useful for shooting rats in barns) and a spot laser (useful for ranges too close to use the scope) via the means of mounting brackets taken off of an AR-15 laser mount has completed the picture. Oh, yes, and take one of those stock mounted shotgun shell holders and install it. C02 cartridges fit perfectly into mine, giving 5 spares at the ready...this entire rig makes one HELL of a pest control setup, and since nothing protrudes past the bottom of the triggerguard, it is still VERY suitable for benchrest use. Wonderful! Email responses to: lockand_load@hotmail.com PS- Ive been using RemOil teflon based lubricant, it seems to work fine for me...
