I just bought a 1077 today. I'm looking at the tube where you put the CO2 powerlet. I think there's room for 2 of them. Has anyone done such a modification? It would be easy because you just need to hack saw off 2 inches of the metal rod at the end cap and sharpen it. Then drop one of the powerlet the regular way then have the 2nd one face up. This should give about 40 good shots instead of the 20 I am currently getting with one powerlet.
I guess that would work but you need to plug the hole up in the tube. It's not a seald tube. Just take the stock off and see for your self. But that would be an interesting mod. You sure your talkin about the 1077?
i saw this kit by another company that basicaly lets u use 2oz air refilables they basicaly screw into the gun instead of some sort of expander... it looks nice kinda like the pic at the top of the page... well with 1 u can get about 30 unless ur gun is messed up...
Using two cartridges will not double the number of shots.

It does not work out in a Crosman 160 so it should not work in the 1077 either. Also the valve would need to be sealed off not just the hole in the bottem of the tube. I believe the hole is there so you can use a screwdriver to remove the cartridges if one becomes stuck in the gun. It was found this hole was needed in the Crosman 622 CO2 pump rifle.
You may want to take it back and find the AS1077T that is newer with a 88gm tank that shoots 400 pellets at 625fps. There is no way yhat I know of to place 2 powerlets in the tube as it is not sealed like a precharge system. The picture of the upgrade kit at Crosman will explain it.
on an average 75 degree summer day our 1st generation 1077 gets 48 decent shots and up to about 60 total if you shoot till the 12 gr co2 is empty...but be prepared to remove a pellet from the barrel!!!!!!!
bulk it, with what ever system you like.........its well worth the cost if you like to shoot the 1077 a lot...
