Remanufactured guns are returns with problems that were

repaired and the guns were referbished for resale. Talking to a follow from Daisy he said they scrapped all returned guns whatever the problem was and did no repairs.
companies remanufacture lots of products from kerosine heaters to electronics. Sometime there are no problems with the returns, the buyer just did not read the instructions or use it correctly and took it back. I believe the retail store sends the returns back to the manufacture credit.

If you are wondering why Daisy does not repair returns, I would say it is cost. I know

a shop vac company that disassembles all returns for scrap rather than pay to repair them. It costs to pay people and they figure it is not worth the return in profit they obtain.

Yes they are the same gun except for having been sold

June 14 2003, 7:31 PM

and returned. They are repaired and brought up to like new spects except for miner cosmetic marks and resold.

Cosmetic "blemish" airguns are a GREAT bargain and are one of the only ways to get, say, a Beeman airgun at a realistic price for most people. Also, RWS/Diana occasionally sells "demo" airguns that have been used for demonstrations OR have been refurbished. We have had no problems with these. Speaking as a man who has done numerous rifle kit projects, i can tell you right now that even for certain firearms it is cheaper for some malfunctions to make a new arm than repair it. Witness the old CATCO semi-auto sten guns...If your reciever broke on one of these, by god, you just got out an old piece of muffler tubing, got the ATF approval, and made your cuts, and BAM! New reciever! I can;t imagine a gun with so many polymer parts as the 1077 costing that much to make (I wish someone would tell this to HK, 1800 for an SL8 rifle is WAYYYYY too much when a 600 dollar AR will do the same thing)....so....SCOOP IT UP, BRUTHA!!!
