1077 remanufactured 1077 came in today. I actually was regretting that I had ordered it but after looking it over it isn't a bad little gun.

Trigger is exactly as everyone said it was but but I could get used to it as it has a stop point before final letoff. Front sight is plastic not enough resolution and is also a little wide for my taste.

A Carbide Smoker will take care of the front sight or mount a scope on it.

Velocity was good for first few shots but seemed to drop rapidly. I didn't rapid fire it but did not time my in between shots. Here are the first 10 shots on the chrony. These were taken after a one bulb and three magazines were fired thru the gun. A fresh bulb was used and first shot just to pierce CO2, then shots were fired as below :

Shot # Velocity
1603.5
2620.2
3603
4609.1
5610.5
6591
7573.6
8557
9542.1
10530

Would love to know how the 620.2 shot was done. Looks like if bulk fill wound give me the first 5 shot averages I would be happy.

CopperHead .177 Domed pellets were used from the box
not sorted & weighed.

Copperhead pellets will give you lower velocities. They are heavier. Do not take this to mean that they are any less effective; sort of like how a .45 is still a mankiller compared to a .357 even though the velocities are different. Also, the most common cause of defects in a c02 gun in my experience at least seems to be seals that leak. You could also try lubing it up a bit...I would have to agree with you on the front sight, I whacked mine off and took off the rear sight, mine is a scope only gun right now (2.5-9x scope does everything i need). As for the weight on the gun, the buttstock is hollow and will take a cleaning kit, spare rotary clip, patches, and a micro leatherman easily. This can add more weight to the gun to offset the scope weight and make the thing generally feel beefier. Just my .02!

Thanks,
The cooperheads were the only .177's I had in the garage at the time.

After I test for accuracy I will test on the chrony after I narrow the field to a couple of pellet types.

I just wanted to get a rough Idea of what it was shooting.
