I am from holland and I bought a 1077, and i heard about the canadian version that is 495 fps instead of the 625 fps of the us version... how can i find out if my imported 1077 shoots 495 or 625 fps? i dont really know much about airguns and this is probably a very stupid question

The onlys tupid question is the one that ain't asked...You shoot through a thing called a chronograph, most gun ranges or gun clubs should have one available should you not be able to find one. Hope this helps!

What about the can test? Line up 20 cans and shoot at it point blank. Make sure you use a full 12 gram and tell me what type of pellets you are using. I to will do the same because I have the 625 fps.

I first have to find 20 empty cans...
If I find the cans I will try this, but should I hold the barrel against the first can or take a little distance?

I would have to say point blank.

I will do 2 shots. The first with 20 cans full of water and than 20 empty cans. Cans are of no problemn because I am addicted to soda.
