I want to know if you can change the 1077 to a more economical shooter by going with a PCP mod and use a hand pump to pump compressed air into the tube.

Also anyone know if those "bulk" fill units can be filled up with a compress air hand pump? I have a RWS hand pump for a PCP air rifle here.

The bulk is co2. Its from a co2 tank like a paintball gun. Crosmans versions are non refillabel.

Air and CO2 will not operate in the same valve. You

cannot use CO2 in a PCP or the reverse.

Also CO2 has a constant pressure of around 900 psi,

you cannot change the pressure with a pump. The tank and gun will not take the higher pressure of air. A PCP gun regulates the pressure after a shot is fired and a CO2 valve does not.

1st you would need to bulk it........

(the tube is not air tight)with any bulk system you choose and then you need a tank regulated down to CO2 pressures, Fun Supply, among others have these tanks. then just pump the tank up with the pump you already have to 3000psi.

Well I've seen the Crosman 22xx take-down co2 rifles with PCP on it which is why I ask because I'm sure it's do'able.

Yes, I know that PCP can't be used with co2 and vise verse for the bulk fill.
