to put a compressed air tank (3000 psi) on a 1077 if i already have a max bulk adapter, because the fps is sad even with a 16oz on it. it shoots about 15-20 feet and you can see the pellet droping. when you shoot it and look at the muzzle u can see the pellet come out. I already have heavy pellets and there is no difference in fps. since no one will send me a U.s. vavle i am starting to get disappointed. i need to get a u.s. valve from some one or find out about compressed air.

thanx

You can rig a 3000 psi air tank to feed your 1077, but you still need to step down the pressure with a regulator. The gun is built to handle CO2 pressure which is on the order of 900 psi, go higher than that to increase velocity and you risk blowing up your gun, injury or worse. So you'll spend a lot of money and end up with not much in the way of increased velocity. High pressure air has other hazards and it's just not something you want to mess with if you don't know what you're doing.

Have you tried to mod the stadard valve?

September 24 2003, 11:25 AM

Why not get a spare Canadian spec valve, and have a go a modding it for more velocity ~ there is an article on doing this for a Crosman 2240 here;

http://crosmanmods.cjb.net/

I know it a different gun, but the valve will work in a similar way, and you might be able to work out what need to be done. If you go wrong, you can put the spare in so that you can still shoot.

be careful

The Canadian laws restrict the foot Lbs of energy on an air gun. Modifying it to get higher FPS's would increase the energy and then be over the limit1 Add aheavier pellet to the mix and it gets worse on being over the limit.

God Bless The USA

How can one express the feeling of freedom in the USA. This simple thread is only one heart beat of that. I hope that you that live outside the USA can make the effort to change your resrictive and no-nonsence air gun and fire arm laws.

I have the right to bear arms so that my goverment can not restrict my rights under the constitution.

They will have to "pry my gun from my cold dead hand" before I give up my civil liberties!

I just hope the Eco freaks here that want to ban or heavily tax tabacco will keep the legislature tied up for the next 20 years and not look at fire arms & airguns.

End of SOAD BOX!

from WWW.bbgunsforsale.com for $44 (rebuilt) including shipping to US address. Drive to the States, bring it back and register it. No problem. ....Roy
