ok, i realize im new to the forum, and this question probley gets asked alot but,... hear goes, how do i do it? caust isnt realy a issue i just like the guns potential and i HATE single shots grrrrr. any-hoo how do i do it, can i make it into a no2 gun? i hear paintball guys do it all the time would that evin help? also that gun on the top of the page looks sweet, who's is it?
Re:how to make the 1077 more powerful and accurate

As for accuracy, it's not the power source that aids accuracy. It's the fact that CO2 pressure will change with temperature. However usually you don't start out shooting in the morning at 50 degrees and then zoom into the high 80's so that part isn't as big an issue.
If you are doing a lot of shooting in temps below 70 degrees then the CO2 isn't as efficient at those temps and a loss in power and velocity will occur.
In this cases then switching to HPA or NO2 will help.
Here is the problem, the CO2 pellet guns the CO2 pressure can be from 850 to 1100 PSI. The gun will have best power at highest pressure as long as it doesn't lock the valve. That condition occurs when the pressure holding the valve shut is greater than the force of the hammer trying to knock open the valve.
In order to change you need to have some sort of bulk fill setup on the 1077. You will need to buy a HPA paintball tank. These tanks are special high pressure tanks that have a built in regulator set at 850 PSI.
You fill the tanks to a pressure of 3000 PSI or 4500 PSI depending on which tank you buy. The tanks are too big to mount on the gun so it's mounted on your belt and a remote hose runs from it to your bulk setup on the gun. That's all there is to it.
With all that said here is the downside. The tanks regulators are set to provide a pressure of 850 PSI which is fine for paintball but not so good for a a pellet gun. We would prefer to have 1000 - 1100 PSI.
So if you change you will get less shots per fill and less power by using HPA or NO2. Some tanks do have adjustable regulators and capable of going to 1000 and maybe 1100 PSI. Bring money however.
A final note on accuracy, however accurate your gun is now is how accurate it will be after the change. The accuracy results the paintball guys are seeing is because the pressure to the guns valve is regulated to 850 PSI and is the same from shot to shot so the velocity will remain the same and that's why a slight increase in accuracy is occurring.
The cost of all of this will be more that the 1077 cost by the way and not much will be gained unless you live in cold climate most of the time or temps fluctuate quite a bit during the day.
How you plan on using the 1077 is the biggest deciding factor on any mod made to them.
thanx man, i like shooting long range targets, sorta like snipeing, just not stuff thats alive. i can get rifles but then i gotta go do a bunch of stuff and then join a club and put up with my parents cursing me for gettin one. so this air rifle buisness suits me well. they think their harmless so they dont mind. rite now i got a daisy 856 and that things pretty accurate single shot pump action i was hitting golfball sized things off trees like 75+' away. this gun is sopposed to be just a little less powerful, but i LOVE the fact that its co2 ready, and a 12 round clip. i HATE pumping and trying to put a pellet in, in the dark GRRRRR. so,... back to the topic at hand. if i can get some more velocity and some more accuracy out of it. i like getting things and makeing them wayyyyy better. i end up doing it to everything like the cars i race. so if i just bulk it and maby have a coustome barrel machined for it that will help lots? then a desent scope and make a bypod for it how far do u think i could get it to hit accuratly?
Forgot to mention that Crosman makes a CO2 bulk fill adapter for the 1077 and Maxi-Bulk makes custom bulk adapters for it and other Co2 guns as well.
The bulk fill will give you a more constant shot to shot velocity as the larger CO2 tanks will not chill as fast as the smaller 12 gram powerlets.
The Bulk adapter from Pyrmid Air is $29.95 and comes with one disposable 4 oz tank. Makes bulking pretty cheap.
Crosman barrels overall are pretty accurate but the crowning procedure is a little spotty. Quite a few have an off center crown and is very inaccurate. Cut a few inches off the barrel and re-crown will fix the problem. The 1077 has a barrel shroud plus the front sight plays a role in barrel mounting. The barrel is made so it cam slide forward. It is made that way in case you get a pellet stuck in the magazine & breech of the barrel. You lift the tabs on the receiver push them forward and the barrel slides forward and allows you to remove the magazine and remove the stuck pellet.
Of course a machined HW match grade barrel would be nice upgrade as long as the machining doesn't warp the barrel. Not too much of a problem as you remove same amount of metal all the way around the barrel so any stress will be relieved equally.
So get a CO2 bulk kit, extra mags & speed-loaders and go have fun.
