I recently purchased my 1077. Overall, it seems like a good CO2 gun. I like the 12-shot semi auto feature!

When I pull the trigger, the rifle fires like I expect it to, but, until I release the trigger, the gun continues releasing bursts of CO2. Is this correct operation, or is my 1077 defective?

Also, like most other users, I find the CO2 life is a bit short. I don't like the AirSource upgrade because of the mounting location of the AirSource bottle. Is there any way to mount the AirSource (or similar) bottle directly under the barrel?

Thanks for your help!

Definitely not the way things should work. Sounds like a defective valve or valve seat, weak valve spring, or maybe the hammer is resting on the valve stem. That's just for starters. The 1077 is a complicated li'l bugger.

A few companies to look at for the kind of bulk adapter you want:

MaxZbulk

Cooper-T

Mac-1

They're on the WWWeb.

After going through about 6 CO2 tanks, the gun stopped it's habit of releasing CO2 while the trigger is held. I guess the small parts became broken in enough to allow the 1077 to function properly. I will call Crosman tomorrow and ask them if any repair is required.

I'll check out your recommended websites for larger air supplies.

Did anybody ever modify the 1077 to full-automatic?

Michael:

If you can go automatic the question here is how do you keep the co2 from freezing the whole gun/metal/barrel/etc. I mean when ytou fire 12 shots rapid the last shot is like -50 or -100 FPS because the co2 is freezing by then till you warm it up.

I too would love to see a automatic 1077. I would pay for someone to make a 1077 extended magazine that holds 30 rounds or more on a "elevator" loading system like how the Anics Skiff 3000A ( http://www.anics.com ) has.

I love that pistol :D if only we had it here in the states. Anyways. Defenitly sounds like the retating flap on the hamer. Hard to explain. But if it fixed itself no need to worry about it. the spring probably just got stuck than un stuck. but if it breaks again be sure to let crosman know.
