Bolt?

February 24 2004, 11:36 AM

you mean the plastic piece on the reciever that comes out both sides that moves back and forth about .5 inch?

that moves the barrel back and forth you need it twords the rear of the gun when shooting or you,ll loose big power. move to front of gun for inststalling clip.

Follow the trail of dead animals, and thats where i,ll be.

The purpose of the plastic tab you are talking about is to

February 24 2004, 2:35 PM

remove jammed pellets. If you get low on CO2 the pellet may stick between the rotating clip and barrel not allowing the magazine to be removed. The tab allows the barrel to be shifted forward so the magazine can be removed. Pushing the tab forward shifts the barrel forward. The instruction manual mentions it but the comment about the tab does not stand out well.

aah. many thanks. i'm having probs with my co2 knob. it leaks unless i use pliers to tighten it up all the way. that suckers a real bee-yoch sometimes. is it supposed to be that hard? it is like the 5th powerlet run through it. will it get easier over time? if it isnt tight you can hear this slight phssssst!!! of gas leaking. then i only get 10 ok shots. if i tighten it with pliers all the way it is fine i get 50-60 shots like normal. sorry, i'm a noob w/ these 1077's

It should not do that. Put a couple drops of Crosman

February 24 2004, 8:52 PM

Pell gun oil on the end of the CO2 cartridge or drop a couple drops down the tube if you can so it lands in the center of the end seal. That may help. You may be able to insert the oil through the slot in the bottom of the tube by removing the stock. That slot is for using a screwdriver to remove a cartridge if it sticks in the tube.

My 1077,s the same way

February 25 2004, 9:40 AM

I have top use almost all my strenth to get the co2 tight enuff to pierce but i don,t think its the guns fault, its these new damn powerlets(why i never run them except in this gun)

I think they made all the caps harder to pierce for more safety everyone i know if having probs with powerlets lately. i have to oil everyother one in my gun, if you look at the powerlet when you get it empty and out of the gun you will see the front cap was bent in real bad then barely pierced(most likely)

Its fine that you can slide the clip in with barrel back as the valve has a spring loaded front on it so it won,t hurt anything, i always slide barrel forward the put clip in then pull back barrel(makes it feel more like a real semi to me

Follow the trail of dead animals, and thats where i,ll be.
