Hi I am deciding if whether or not i should buy a 1077? I have read reviews about how fast it loses accuracy because of the Co2 they say after about 12 shots it loses it's accuracy...Is this true? or is it because the gun has to break in and after the break in period will it shoot more with the Co2 that is being used (12g). I'm thinking about getting the regular 12g setup. Please let me know what you guys have to say about this gun and any cheap online sites where i can get it from. I'm in US so it should shot 625 fps right.
i totally have to disagree with you. Co2 guns(if it going an acceptable ammount of speed) will kill just as well as any other airgun. If the correct shot placement is taken and your using a new Co2 and using the correct pellets it will kill quite effciently. I'm supposing you have had a bad experience?
You both have your right points about this gun and co2 air rifle hunting. It wouldn't be good to hunt with this gun unless you can get really close to your prey. If you are hunting squrrels that are up in trees, you are gonna need a break barrel and one from 800-1200. My friend and I went shooting and we shot a squrrel several times but his 1000 fps Powerline break didnt kill it or my 725 fps rifle. But you can hunt with some co2 airguns like the Crosman 2250 .22 which is 80% more powerful then its .177 caliber version. There are some that you can hunt with but your range and power will be limited so you will have only a few animals you can hunt. Any airgun that is 600 fps or over is capible of killing birds for sure but other animals it depends.
You can shoot like crazy and not have to worry about anything until you have around 250 shots through it.
Mine has taken all types of non-game birds and rabbits. And I know of others who have taken rabbit and skunks with it.
iv'e been looking for some remanufatured ones, the sites i have found that list them are all sold out. they sell for cheap only 39.99 but i just need to find one. i just want to get this gun to shoot at targets and plinking, i'd like a rifle that could just unload with out reloading after every shot so that's why i'm looking at this one but for killing anything i'll buy an rws.
I think that you should get one, but get a bulk fill instead of the airsource kit because you will end up saving money in the long run. Here is where to get the bulk kit http://airgunsbbguns.com/sku1077.html. As for where to get the gun itself i dont have enough time to look for the cheapest site.
The bulk fill is an adapter that allows you to use a paintball tank instead of the airsource or 12 gram co2. It will save you money because it cost about $1 to refill a paintball tank and $60 for the tank and adapter. With the airsource it is $9 to get a new airsource 88 gram and $35 to buy the adapter for airsource.
