I want to know how to do some mods for increased power. Im planning on making the hammer spring tighter and then making the the trigger spring softer to compensate. Also, i was thinking of adding some weight to the hammer. How do i accomplish these? Is there any others i can do besides messing with the valve(i dont think im quite ready to attempt it). Thanks for any help u can give me!

Thanks.

First off I do not think any dealers or repair shops do mods on these guns

and if they do you do not want to pay what it would cost. There is no money in modding a bottom end gun like the Crosman 1077 and not enough demand. You just need to experiment with the spring changes yourself. There is a spring in the magazine box the round plastic clip goes in. It indexes the clip and can be lightened to lighten the trigger pull. The magazine can be taken apart to do this. Just about all mods on this gun are custom by the owner. There could be someone to do the mods but I have never heard of one.

Ya i already did all of them a few weeks ago when i posted that message...

Heres what i ended up doing. I opened up the magazine and cut the spring and stretched it, and then i lubed everything in there. Then I cut a lot of the trigger spring and stretch that out. I added some hammer weight by glueing a fishing weight on the back of the hammer and then i cut a lot off the hammer spring and bent it so it had a loop on the end again. Finally, i litely sanded the trigger and then lube everythging that moved, especially the hammer and hammer rod. These ended up mading quite a difference for no valve work.

By the way are there any others i can do? I dont want to take apart the valve yet, but if there was something i could do without taking it apart that would be very helpful.

Thanks.

you could get a longer barrel. but you would have to have a mill to mill the fitting for the slide. you can also get an adapter to adapt a paintball tank. you can fit a muzzle on it. You can get a match barrel from mac 1 for about 60.00

definatly increse fps, but it would end up costing alot. You would have to get the barrel have it custom milled and you would have to get a custom muzzle break to cover it. It could end up costing well over $150. It would be nice to have bulk, but the max-z cost $60 plus you would have to buy a tank for about $30. Plus it cost about $7 dollars to get it filled each time unless you got like a 20 pound tank(about $120)and filled it yourself. If you did that you would have to learn how to fill it properly. With that in mind airsorce (at least for me) is a much better choice. You save a lot of money and its still big enough for hundreds of shots.
