I have purchased a 1077 for my father, and niether of us can get the magazines loaded. I purchased .177 caliber pointed Copperheads and they won't go into the holes. They seem too large. Are they supposed to easily slide into the holes or do you have to have another tool to force them in?

that is very strange. First of all look at the picture in the owners manual to make sure you are loading them the right way into the clips. Second be sure you are loading the pellets nose first, not skirt first. They should slid in firmly but smoothly.
