I am looking into getting a 1077 shortly with a muzzle break, and the AS, with an aftermarket scope.
I was looking at the Leapers scopes and they look really interesting. I was thinking I should get one of those. I need the cost to be under $40US as I don't have the funds to go all out on a scope. Could anyone recommend a good one that doesn't look small and dorky? I need something decent that I can learn and practice on, that will serve me well.
I know I can't get much in that $$$ range, but please point me in the right direction. It doesn't have to be a Leaper model!
Any inexpensive scope will work, the 1077 is CO2 so there is no recoil. That means you do not need an airgun rated scope.(airgun rated means that it will hold up to the recoil of a springer airgun.)
I use a daisy 3x9 that came with a powerline 1000s,it works great and I think you can get one for 30 bucks or less.
great field of view for quick target aquisition. No magnification, but I use if for shot range targets and speed shooting drills and the red dot is great for this. You can get a BSA red dot at Walmart in your price range. Also the the Daisy Powerline 3x9X32 is an outstanding buy in your price range if you want something adjustable and magnified. It all depends on how you want to shoot it. It's a fun plinker and I like to blaze away on multiple targets. This is not a hunting gun! Keep it to plinking.
The Crosman is cheaper and I wouldn't have to order it off the net, but it does look too plasticky and cheap in comparison to the Leaper.
Thanks,
Matt
