First- just so you don't waste money- the Crosman AirSource (88g) setup only works on 1077s built after 1999.
If you have a newer 1077 and can use one- it's unlikely that you would break the larger Co2 can or the frame/tubing assembly (the "AirSource" unit itself)- the kind of hit it would take to break it would also be the same sort of hit that would likely bend or break loose the barrel tube on the rifle itself- i.e. pretty darn hard.
