i am thinking about buying a 1077 but have a few questions,

firstly, everywhere iv seen on the internet says the barrel is rifled but my local gunstore says that it is smooth bore, which is right?

second, insted of modifying the valve to increase power could it not be replaced with a larger one?

third, what modifications should be done and what should be steered clear of?
i would like to take it up to 12ftlbs which is the uk limit but i still want it to be reliable.

and finally i have ideas on a custom heated co2 tank to replace the standard 12g/88g set up, feed back on if this would be worth while would be helpful.

i have a concept of how i would like my 1077 look (seen picure included) and would like people opinon on it and anything thing they would change.

Hi Charles, interesting concept..........

but it would be nigh on impossible to locate the trigger housing on a reach forward concept like a bullpup as the plastic construction of the 1077 makes it difficult to pimp to this degree.

The barrel on mine is rifled and I have no reasn to doubt that others will not be the same.

The design and construction of the 1077 is just not upto 12fpe and whilst there is always room for improvement on a gun built to a budget I would doubt you would exceed 7-8fpe max.

The valve is not like the valve you would find on a 2250 for example. These valves are great for modding and lots can be done and have been. The 1077 valve is very efficient in output and co2 usage as it is designed, again there is room for improvement but I think power like what you are expecting would simply blow it apart.

Search the forum as there are some great detailed threads been posted here. If you struggle, let me know and I will post you the link

Thanks

Garry
