Looking for a 1077W but unable to find one. Anyone know of any sources that have them? If not, are there wood stocks available anywhere, or is there another wood stock that will work with the 1077?

how to make a 1077 wood stock

March 27 2009, 11:02 PM

I have found that it is possible to modify a standard Ruger 1022 stock to fit the Crosman 1077. I discovered this after being frustrated at not being able to find a 1077W.

It took some time to do the first one, but quite a bit less time to do the actual fitting on the second one. I'm considering making a fixture to do the necessary wood work on my milling machine. The first two were done by hand using a die grinder with various bits and sanding drums. I still have a few details to work out; but so far the results have been satisfactory. I purchased the stocks for $20 on GunBroker, and there are always some for sale there it seems.

Sorry I don't have photos I can put up. I do have photos, but not being really computer literate, I don't have them available in photobucket. I'll work on that, and take some better photos as well. Stay tuned.
